Should I change 3qts of trans fluid on hyundai genesis r spec 5.0 109000 mi and what can I do about hard shifting I changed all cam sensor
Wow you can change the fluid and filter and pray that fixes it cuz if it doesn't it can get very expensive to rebuild those transmissions and the Koreans don't make the most reliable transmissions as they age
I had a 2011 SantaFe which started hard shifting. The dealer wanted to replace the transmission under warranty but I would pay for all the incidentals like hoses and anything they damaged. I told them no and took it home. I drained the fluid and replace the filter. Then I put the old fluid back it with a pint of fresh fluid to replace what I had lost in the process. After a day or two it started shifting smoothly again.
I am not sure how the cam sensor would be related. Maybe somebody can elucidate the relationship to hard shifting.
