hey Scotty I have a 1992 Mitsubishi Galant automatic 4spd with overdrive same one that was in the 700 dollar Mitsubishi evo in your video. I had purchased it with 164k for 1200 3 years ago, fluid was red at 164k when I check it now it has 189k still red, owners manual says to change it every 30,000 miles. Should I change it or will it cause slipping. I’m worried what will happen, It’s my dads sentimental car and want it to last as long as possible. What should I do.

It shouldn’t - if it’s burned, then it might slip, but at 180k it might just slip for unrelated reasons. I’d listen to the manual but probably would change it much more frequently the. recommend (with the correct fluid).

also if a car is sentimental, get as much spare parts as you can - just get an extra transmission and engine in case anything goes wrong so you’ll have the parts to fix it. It should be super cheap.
