It changes gears smoothly but It now has a total of 141k miles and I have had it for 55k miles. Am I pushing my luck?
I just bought an 09 Accord a few months ago but with 77k on it. First thing I did was change transmission fluid. The weakest thing on an Accord is the Automatic transmission although they usually go to 200k miles. If you know it has been changed before than go for it but if not it's kind of risky.
I took the risk. Lol It feels and runs better than before. It had a hollow feeling before. Thanks all for the tips. It was a drop and fill btw.
I would do it, but the majority will tell you don’t do it.
Whatever you decide, make sure the fluid is maroon/red not brown, not black,
not burnt, and odor free.
Request full synthetic and cha get the filter if it has one.
You don’t mention if this is a drop and fill or full fluid exchange.
