I just bought a new Toyota rav4. I live in the city and was thinking to install bull bars to protect the bumper from low impact hits (like parking hits). Do you think it is a smart move? I read there are some negatives with bull bars but not sure how reliable those sources are.

If you like heavy, ugly and expensive additions to your car, go for it.

No. You'll look like a tool.

It's a Rav4 so it's a daily driver and it'll definitely get dings and be hit and scratched. I personally don't think it's worth having a bull bar on it, but if you like the look of having one and you can afford it then do it. I think it comes down to personal preferences at the end.
