Hi Scotty and all,
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have a 13 Corolla LE which I primarily use for Uber and just hit 271 K recently before the transmission broke down today. I'm told I need another and my mechanic quoted me $1500 for a transmission with 130 K and 3 year 100,000 mile warranty and about a grand in labor and parts. It's recently paid off. No other major issues right now. I'm not sure whether to fix and keep it as an Uber (recently purchased a 16 Camry with 100 K and didn't want to drive it as an Uber) or cut my losses and scrap it. My concern is that if I fix the transmission, the probability of the engine breaking down is much higher due to the mileage despite changing the oil religiously. What do you think Scotty and all? I was so hoping to not use thr Camry as an Uber. Thanks, Joe

I agree. And since your vehicle is your livelihood, you need a reliable one.
