Hi, I am planning on buying a new Toyota Corolla hatchback. But, I live out on miles of dirt roads in the desert. Should I give it a 2in spacer lift and slightly larger tires so that it has better clearance out on our horrible dirt roads? To my understanding this would be relatively cheap, but are there any pitfalls to this process? Thank you for any feedback.

There are lots of pitfalls to this modifications. If it's a suspension lift or just a body lift, all the drive shaft angles will change and even though it's only 2 inches, a lot of geometry is going to change to what it's not supposed to be. Drive shafts, steering and suspension alterations have unintended consequences.
