Looking for advice on purchasing my aunts G37.
Should I purchase an automatic 2012 Infinity G37 rwd 2x4 with 90k miles to Commute everyday?
My aunt is the second owner of a 2012 Infinity G37, rear wheel drive 2x4 with 89,000 miles. It is not the sport version, but that is not a huge deal to me.
She is almost 60 now and has owned the car since it had 30,000 miles. I know she never beat on the car and it doesn't seem like the original owner did either as she hasn't had any issues with it in the handful of years she has owned it.
She is looking to sell it for about $10,500 as she wants a SUV.
I was wondering if it would be a good buy as I have a 15 year old Corolla that I use to commute that has been giving me issues ($1,500 in repair bills in the last 14 months).
I am wondering are the 7 speed automatic rwd Jatco transmissions alright?
I know Scotty says Jatco transmissions are horrible but it seems that he is always talking about Jatco fwd transmissions. I haven't heard him say anything about this 7 speed rwd.
Also i am not sure if the infinity G37 are made in Japan or Mexico. I get mixed advice online.
If the 7 speed rwd jatco transmission is decent and its made in Japan and not Mexico, i might buy it for my new commuter to replace my 2007 corolla.
Thanks for any advice/help!
Those are money pits as they age run away
Good reliable cars IMO and they are all made in Japan but I would not pay over $10 grand for that thing, even tho it has 89 000 miles.
Very reliable car and since you know the maintenance and vehicle history is especially a bonus . That’s a very nice car that should have a very long life ahead of it
