Hello Scotty,

I hope you are doing good and healthy. It's been years since I've asked you about a car question. So my question is Should I need to put the transmission in neutral while on a stop and go traffic on a dry DCT gearbox or in any automatic gearboxes? It is regarding a car that I am thinking about purchasing it. I'm from India and the Car I am looking for is a KIA Sonet 1 litre turbo GDI that has a 7 speed Dry DCT gearbox and the same model with a 1.5 CRDI VGT diesel engine with 6 speed automatic.

Thanks

Vijay

No, unless you're waiting on a railroad crossing, always leave the car in drive. You never know if you have to suddenly move to avoid being crashed into, or an emergency vehicle needs to get through.

@justin-shepherd Thank you for the reply Mr Justin sir.

I would only do that if you were stopped for more than 2 or 3 minutes at a time

@scottykilmer Thank you for your reply Mr Scotty Sir.
