Hi Scotty long- time fan from Texas also. I I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should keep my work van or sell it and get a newer one. It's a carpet cleaning van with the machine installed so that also goes into account as it's about $1,000 to move that thing to a new van. Its a 2006 Ford e350 5.4 L engine. 200k miles on it
So it's kind of an old and tired van. The steering is very wonky especially at high speeds so probably need some suspension work. There is a transmission fluid leak. It's a tiny leak but it's still there somewhere in one of the lines. The air conditioner doesn't work well at stoplights only works while you're driving and the engine I think Burns about a quart of oil a month. I think it's burning because I don't see any leaks.
So my question is, do I fix it or do I sell it and buy a newer van something like the Chevy Express van? It's nice not to have payments but then constantly fixing an old van with 200,000 miles on it I don't know if it's a good idea.
Thanks Scotty. You're the best
something like the Chevy Express van
