Hi Scotty,
I purchased a 2021 F-150 Powerboost Hybrid Platinum trim in June 2021. Own it outright and is my only vehicle and I like it. Prices for these vehicles are still elevated and can get close to what I paid for the truck. With the used car bubble about to pop (maybe it has already), should I sell this truck and buy an older cheaper truck/SUV and wait until prices drop and get a similar truck later? If so what would you recommend? I’ve been looking at 2011/2012 4Runner 4WDs but I want something that is reliable and low maintenance.
I would if you can get a bunch of money and how price is certainly will drop in the future
Thanks Scotty. What should I keep my eye out for?
Why sell it if you like it?
If youre hoping to make a couple grand doing this exchange back and forth, then thats not a good idea. Noone really knows what the next 5 years will bring with the economy. If you financially need the money then sure, otherwise I'd keep it if there arent any issues. Plus if you were to buy a similar used truck down the road, you may be buying someone elses headache.
Exactly, @nta98. It’s like a hedge fund, except you’re short-selling your own transportation.
sure, but buy the other vehicle first
