Should I upgrade my supercharger?

Hey Scotty,

I recently purchased a right hand drive 1985 Toyota Mr2 Aw11, 5 speed manual, 32k miles on the motor.

Ive been having a ton of fun with the Mr2 and it's throttle-based supercharger. I've been getting between 20-50 mpg, with the higher end being really boring driving.

Would it be worth updating the supercharger to something newer or should I keep the original? I have no clue how many miles the car has actually driven prior to rebuild

I believe the motor is cammed, and there's some performance parts that don't look stock in the engine bay.

Thanks!

Is it possible to share an image of the engine bay with us? I'm curious to take a look at the modifications 🙂

I would leave it as is, especially if you have other modifications. The car is likely tuned as it sits and if you start changing parts, you're going to have to retune it and find out what cams, etc. you have in order to get it tuned right.
