Hi Scotty,
I absolutely love your videos. On top of being very, very helpful / informative and downright funny they’re addictive. hahaha
I saw a couple of video’s where you warn people about third party warranties. I wished I had seen it sooner as it would have saved me from my warranty headache. I don’t have a question, however I’m hoping you will read my story below so that people will take your warning to heart.
Thank you and keep up the good work / public service!!! Mike

I purchased a vehicle that had 49 kilometers remaining on a 200K kilometer UNLIMITED TIME extended warranty from Nationwide Warranty in Ontario Canada.
Prior to the purchases the previous owner called Nationwide Warranty and confirm that the package would be transferred. Tim from Nationwide Warranty stated that all we needed for the warranty package to be transferred was to provide the last two maintenance receipts and the safely certificate. After I purchased the vehicle I provided the documents Tim requested, however Nationwide Warranty employee Al, and his manager Brent refused to honor Tim’s word citing policies that are not listed in their warranty package, or their website and when I ask for copies of those policies they didn’t or couldn’t provide them. The last email from Brent stated “Please respectfully accept our decision as we will no longer respond to any future emails received by you regarding this matter.” Brent wants us to respect their decision while they ignore Tim’s transfer approval. They also seem to have forgotten that the previous owner is a customer who paid extra for warranty based on mileage. We believed that Nationwide Warranty is not honoring their word and in my opinion in breach of their warranty contact.
Find the actual contract. Read it carefully. If they are in violation, then report to government agencies, local news and social media.
Verbal agreements mean nothing. The language of the contract is the issue, here.
