I have been using conventional for the life of the vehicle that I bought new. Has had oil leaks for about the last five years. Was thinking of changing to Valvoline Max-life High mileage synthetic blend, or Pennzoil Gold synthetic blend (dexos approved).
Would this exacerbate the oil leaks? Or would synthetic blend be good for the longevity for the 4.3L V6? Not thinking about using full synthetic since the flow rate would seek out any leaks and exploit. I am planning to have the leaks fixed in the near future. Would like input now about oil blends until leaks are fixed.

Annette old vehicle I would not because it's leaking oil now synthetic oil flows better it will leave even faster

Try to find regular, mineral, non-synthetic oil.
