This isn't a question but a shoutout to the great community on this forum. Before I started learning to work on my own cars as much as I can, I've been purchasing cars for years and I've learned the methods for getting good deals and negotiating etc. to the point that I then started helping family and friends with their purchases. I've been watching Scotty's videos for a long time now but hadn't joined this forum until last year. Before coming to this forum to share what I know and try to help people with what I know, I joined a forum which advertises as a place in which it helps people with their car purchasing journey. I didn't just share what I knew about purchasing cars but also mechanical knowledge and cars to buy/avoid that I had learned myself through the years and also from Scotty.
Now the shoutout comes to this forum because on that other forum I realized as soon as I started sharing mechanical knowledge and also certain tips for getting better deals, some of the so-called admins started disagreeing with me as soon as I commented. Now this agreeing isn't important, but how they did it to discredit all the correct info was interesting. Unlike there, here and on this forum what I have seen is regardless of how long someone has been here if they have a correct opinion/advice it is welcomed and also nobody is after their own benefit; it's really all about helping people.
Really happy to be part of this community and being able to help people as much as I am able to!
Well thank you for your contributions. We try, and I think we do an ok job of keeping everything factual, fair, and honest, just the way Scotty would want.
Glad to contribute/help as much as I can. I agree with you and I also think this forum is doing a good job in being honest and helpful. But that other forum seemed to be after some benefit for themselves (there is a lot of money when it comes to car sales and keeping prices high) so they couldn't tolerate helpful and true comments.

It’s called freedom of speech.
As long as what’s posted lies within the forum rules, and with genuine intentions, we let each member voice their unedited/uncensored opinion/s.
Well I do admire you for helping everyone out in this forum even though there may be some disagreement based on experience or opinion. I do agree with MountainManJoe said in the second sentence.
