Single clank when putting in gear

Anything to check other than transmission?

My 04 Lexus ES330 with 247k miles has started having a single clank each time I put it in gear. It was originally only when I put it in reverse. After a week of avoiding reverse it's now happening when start directly in drive. Sometimes I hear a less loud same clank when I come to a temporary stop at a light or even more rarely when I accelerate from a stop  If not for the clank I'd notice nothing wrong - gear changes are all smooth, no slipping, no other noises

I checked:

Transmission fluid full, never been changed or topped off.

It happens before I let up on the brakes so it doesn't seem related to brakes.

Mounts look ok and there's no jerking of the engine or car that would feel like a bad mount.

Is there anything obvious to check? thx

Well I'd pray it's something like a worn CV joint. If you watch my video finding the source of car noise is Scotty, you would find exactly how you could see where the clunk was coming from and pray it's not inside the transmission

@scottykilmer When I started it this morning, it started fine but it wouldn't shift out of park into drive or reverse. The shifter lever wasn't stuck, it just wouldn't change gears. Then I turned the ignition off and restarted and it shifted into drive normally.
