I have a 2017 Ford F150 5.0 V8 Super Crew and was curious why does Ford continue to use a single exhaust system for a 5.0 V8 Engine when the 2nd Generation Ford Raptors use a cat-back Dual exhaust system ? I know they have a high output 3.5 turbo engine set up but would it be beneficial for my V8 engine to also have a Dual exhaust system. I thought of getting an aftermarket cat-back system but I believe they begin to get too loud after several years of driving. I want a dual exhaust system but nothing loud due to this being my Family ride and the wife does not like loud trucks. Im caught between a rock and a hard place. I intend to keep the truck til the wheels fall off.
Thank you for your help.

Why would an after CAT dual exhaust system benefit you at all?
I have a 2008 Grand Marquis with 32000 miles. The engine is a 4.6 v8 with a single exhaust and I am planning on having duals installed. My question is, by adding duals will I lose hp and torque? I want a better sound and possibly better mpg.
Thank You
