Hey Scotty and team! Recently I was introduced to your YouTube videos and man! I feel like I’ve learned so much in the last 2 weeks! I have a slight shudder in my car, changed had the oil and spark plugs changed but it’s still there. I wrecked out in it once due to black ice, taking down a light pole and have been wondering if maybe engine mounts are bad? I’m in Massachusetts, near Boston, a lot of inclined parking and we are just now understanding the need for using the parking brake. Whenever we park slightly inclined and put the car in reverse it sounds like it slams into gear, could that be a reason for the shudder?
When does the shudder happen? And where do you feel it comes from?
Happens anytime the car is idling. From the moment the car starts up, I can feel a slight shudder. At a red light or stop sign, any time the car is idling.
I can feel it from the driver seat, kind of like a bad spark plug shudder that I had in my old Chevy Suburban.
