Hi all I have an Opel Astra GTC 2012 model with 140000 km on the clock. I have had coolant issues such as a bubbling coolant to the point where it spits out of the overflow. Now I’ve noticed that there is a black sludge build up on the side of the coolant reservoir. The coolant is however perfectly red/pink in colour and doesn’t seem as if it has been mixing with the oil. Please advise if you know what could be the issue.

I have had coolant issues such as a bubbling coolant to the point where it spits out of the overflow.
Check the head gasket.

Those are all textbook symptoms of a failed engine cylinder head gasket.
