The simplest thing is to ask what the fluid level is? If it's low, that would trigger the code. If it's the pressure sensor or a wiring issue, that might also be cost effective.

The diagnosis should always begin with the most accessible, and least expense, options.

@geriscan, thanks for taking your time to comment. I checked the fluid level and it is full, clean, and doesn't smell burnt. As for wiring, I don't not see any issues. Would need a expert to take a look at that..

Is the car still under any powertrain warranty?

If not, have it looked at by a professional who specialises in transmissions -

Are you the original owner? Was this car ever wrecked/flooded?

@inthrustwetrust, That's for taking your time to comment.. out of warranty and original owner. No wrecks...

@scottykilmer or any others..  any thoughts on situation?

Well this vehicle has a Mazda transmission, doesn’t it? Does @dan have experience with this SkyActiv-Drive transmission? I see a few complaints regarding the transmission in your vehicle - https://www.scioniaforum.com/threads/transmission-failure.3642/

@inthrustwetrust. Yes this vehicle has everything made by Mazda. Only thing relating to Scion/Toyota are the badges and the Toyota design grill. I been on that form and I do see a hand full of people mentioning issues with their AT. For me I don't have any of the symptoms.

Just AT and Engine lights triggered. Which put the car in limp mode. I disconnected the battery and car drives normally, just lights still triggered and code still present.

If the connector & related wiring to that sensor is good, it might probably need a new sensor/switch. Something which a transmission expert should be able to diagnose.
