Hey , scotty. What do you think of new sonata 2021. Are they worth buying. Could you please do a video on them. I currently am looking at sonata with 2.5 engine , not the turbo one. Or anyone knows any issue or problems with new sonata , please let me know. Should i buy them or not.
Thanks
Rule when it comes to Hyundais:
Sonata/Tuscon 2010+ Run away
Elantra/Santa fe 2010+ Maybe
Since 2010, they have GDI and the engines tend to blow up at around 120k miles so it would last the same as a Nissan basically, except the Nissan engine will last longer.
But if you like it go ahead they are good cars untill they are 12 13 years old I have a Kia Sportage (hyundai tuscon) and its a decent car.
I mean at this point I think Nissan is worse than Hyundai, there is a reason(s) that Nissan is just flailing about, Not even their precious GTR can save them LOL Hyundai has been making continuous improvement to their cars at least to my knowledge, EG the new turbo design on the Veloster N, oppose to Nissan who has been on the slow decline. Their cheapest brand new car is like what, $15k?
Yeah your right
There will be no common issues to look out for because the car is literally new. It's unpredictable what issues might or will pop up being that virtually no one has bought em (I mean enough verified information wise, say 10k plus just on the smaller end...) Whether or not old problems are fixed are also up to debate. If you want to be a guinea pig and test out the car by all means go ahead. Anyone who buys new are essentially test subjects for stats and analytics if you are only looking for to see what problems there are. Currently none for this car or any new release for that matter cause again, it's brand new. Now whether common issues from the past or new issues pop up, that's for debate. EG almost everyone on this forum will recommend Toyota, but the newer ones 2018-2020 seem to have a safety recall for a fuel pump issue. Never happened before with toyota I think. The question you be asking is like how good is this new phone just release this year, you got the people who love em and will say nothing but good cause they will support the company no matter what but then ya got sceptics and people who would rather wait to see if the phone is actually holding up over time and initial reviews and if there are any bugs or whatnot. Lol. Below be a link for an initial review for this car. If you are interested in any others there will be a plethora of information elsewhere online as all opinions including mine will be bias in some way, not to mention that not everyone has an opinion or care about every new release, At the end of the day, if you really want the car, just get the car haha, no one is stopping ya. https://youtu.be/8YRVTQHejYA
If you keep it for 100k miles max you'll be good.
If you get a good deal and if you keep your cars no more than 10-12 years (100-120k miles), then they can be excellent cars. But if you want it to last 400 thousan miles, your out of luck, unless its all highway miles in 5 years.
