I'm looking for a 2000 to 2008 Lexus RX SUV for the smooth ride and reliability. We live in Phoenix but tons of cars here have faded paint and maybe stressed AC systems. How much better would it be to find one from San Diego i where t has been in 75 degree weather and drive it home?

Theoretically that's a good idea but unfortunately cars in California go for a ton more because of their economy

I was surprised but cars in the six to $12,000 range are actually slightly cheaper in California than Phoenix. Maybe they have so much money that they are all buying expensive cars and there's not as much market for the older ones?
