!994 2500 7.4 auto I have an issue with plug wires arcing at heat shields on the manifolds, tried 2 different sets kinda got better but still periodic are there special wires with better insulation? Thx

The factory routed them and never had a problem. You must do the same and you will get the same result. Follow the original factory wires guides

- As Dion, suggested, make sure you route them properly. There should be clips to guide the wires. Make sure the area is clean and dry.
- Get good quality carbon core wires with silicone insulation.
- You can also trying applying dielectric grease to the spark plug boots.
- Maybe bend the heat shield out of the way a bit where it arcs. In case it moved.
