Scotty, big fan, always love your attitude and depth of knowledge, funny enough my dad can’t stand listening to you, he’s not a mechanic anyway so his loss as far as I’m concerned

I wanted to ask what your thoughts are on E3 diamond fire spark plugs and others like them, also Pulstar

The general design of spark plugs seems to have stayed the same for many decades and it seems like these ones have caught some traction in recent years, though you seem to stick with Iridium’s, I’d like to know why

They're snake oil and not particularly new, that kind of thing has been around for decades. If it was that easy to do what those things claim those plugs would be standard equipment in new vehicles.


Here are snake oil claims hailing from 1956 for "E3" style plugs. As I said these scams have been around for a long time.
