I got a 2012 RAV4. I took the starter out today. While doing it, it sparked when I was trying to disconnect the bolt from the “S Terminal” I believe it is called. I am confused because there was not battery in the car. I did have the OBD 2 memory thing connected though. I did not do any damage right??? Thanks

I did not do any damage right???
You'll find out when you install a battery and try to start the vehicle.
