I have a 2003 Toyota Camry 2.4 automatic transmission with 209k miles. The speedometer needle bounces like a basketball when I’m driving down the road. I replaced the speed sensor, (the one that has the spinning gear) and the problem is still there. The tranny doesn’t shift hard and I’m not getting any trouble codes for a speed sensor. My question is what could cause this.

The motor that runs the speedometer might be faulty.
Is that something that could be replaced or does the whole tachometer have to be
replaced
IMO the whole gauge cluster needs to be replaced, but ask around, some people might have other opinions.
