Hi Sotty,
Big Fan,
I am wondering if using the sport mode vs economy or normal will wear the engine faster?
Thanks!!
Michael
It will for sure. The more power you make the faster things wear out. With that said is putting the car in sport mode every once in awhile and going for a spirited drive gonna destroy your engine? No just don't drive around like a maniac in sport mode all the time revving the shit out of your car and doing burnouts and shit and you should be just fine.

Thanks, I recently purchased a 2020 Porshe Macan, I have always wanted a Porshe but really can't afford the sports cars so I got this but I hate the way it shifts in normal mode, it really shifts too soon and feels like a dog. When in sport mode, it holds the gears longer and feels more like what I expected. I know it affects the mpg but then I started wondering about the engine and transmission if I drive it in sport mode all the time.
Oh a Porshe... oh son.. noooooo........ you have massive money pit on your hands and that car was built to be in sport mode literally all the time so it doesn't matter if you baby it in eco mode or not the thing is still basically a race car and very expensive race car at that. Scotty hates those cars because you pay all that money and then 75K miles latter their worth 1/64th of what you paid for it. My advice have fun driving it for a bit get it out of your system and buy something else. I mean for that kind of money you could turn a fast car INTO a super car like that and still have a shit load of money to spare. I know they look cool and all but they are an ENDLESS money pit and the best thing you can do is get rid of it ASAP while it's still worth something. I mean if you want a car like that you have so many better choices.... Why get something like a GTR or a Honda civic Type R or a Golf type R or a New Camero!?!?!?? You could get the Zl1 with supercharged V8 that would slaughter a Porsche or a Shelby Mustang Cobra with the Supercharged V8. I'm getting sweaty just THINKING about those cars. PLEASE JUST ANYTHING ELSE. So many cooler cars than that supercar garbage you have.
