Sprinter Van best engine choice

Scotty I am in the market for a new sprinter van and I want to know of the 3 engines 1 turbocharged 4 cyl direct injection gasoline or a 2 l 4 cyl turbo diesel or a 3 l v6 turbodiesel which of the three engines would be best and should I bother with 4x4 for a van this size. I live in Canada and the winters can make driving a challenge but I have always driven a rwd truck or car and am pretty good at not getting stuck. I'm leaning towards the 4cyl rwd 2l diesel configuration but I wanted your opinion on it. And if you would even buy a Mercedes van to begin with , my plan is to outfit it and move into my future home on wheels so whatever choice I make I will be living with/ in literally for awhile. Side question would you say a straight 4 vs a v6 is a more reliable engine configuration for a diesel engine? I'm thinking the straight 4 has less parts and would be powerful enough to jot warrant upgrading to the 3 l 4x4 v6 turbo diesel.

Thanks Scotty and keep making the great content!

Rich

The Mercedes-Benz sprinter van is kind of meh. The 3.0 diesel van is a considerable option. I would leave the sprinter van as the last option.
