Scotty what are your thoughts on the 73-87 Chevy Squarebody Trucks? They are getting really popular. Do you think they are well built trucks that can last a long time?

They will require a lot of maintenance to keep them going. Great if you want a "project" or toy to take out on weekends. Not a good daily driver.

That's strange I have friends who daily them fine. Just don't get good gas mileage lol.

ask them how often they have to clean the carbs, tune the jets, file the ignition points, etc. And yes bad mileage and low power.

Best truck I ever owned was a 1978 Chevy K10 4x4 short bed pickup with a manual trans.  Aside from the usual starter, alternator and brakes, the truck was simple and nearly indestructible.  I bought it new for $7500 and sold it 15 years later for $5000.
