My 2008 Hyndai Elantra with 140,000 miles has a squeaking noise when you start the car up.( usually after it has been sitting for a while). It continues for just a short time (15 seconds or so) when initially starting out. Then it stops when the car warms up. I have had all belts replaced twice (a.c., v-belts, etc...) in 3 months but the noise still persists. What could it be? Could it be the alternator?
thank you,
Tom

Check the pulleys of any driven component - ac, water pump, alternator, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, ps, etc. It sounds like a bearing is going out.
