Hope someone can help me narrow down the cause of this noise. Recently, I’ve noticed that when I press the brake on my truck to get ready to shift into reverse, a squealing noise can be heard from underneath. It seems to happen pretty often nowadays. Not sure exactly what the cause may be. I have a 2017 Tacoma SR5 V6.

Well check all the fan belts. Press one of those or something they drive like an alternator bearing making it squeal. Because if it's coming from the transmission, that's a super expensive fix. Showing internal transmission. Where. If you really want to pinpoint the noise, watch my video finding the source of car noises Scott y. It's on YouTube
