Hi Scotty I'm djpatrickgc in West Sacramento CA.
I have a 1996 Dodge Avenger four cylinder manual transmission.
One day my steering wheel locked and i couldn't get it to unlock I turned it left and right and finally it unlocked but then my SRS light came on. do i have to unplug the steering wheel air bag and plug it back in? if i do should i undo the battery cable first? or should I take it to the dealer?

I don’t think unplugging and plugging back the air bag turns off the light. You need to know what is wrong by scanning the car with a good scan tool.
