Hey,
I've got a 2013 V6 3.5L Cadillac SRX that has intermittent engine light flashing on cold START UP. If I turn the car off and start it again, the light doesn't come back on and flash. The car is automatic with 54k miles. In the past, it has had misfire codes thrown and the dealer replaced the #6 plug and coil pack. I checked for codes this time and there are not any codes stored or current. IDK what is causing this to happen.
Thank you!
well if the light flashes it has to have a code I would need that code if it did not have a cold that could mean there is a wiring or computer failure
Would a flashing engine light ( only on cold start and only for a short period of time) definitely store a code? I would think so. But there are no codes found. Any other ideas on what this could be? We have had numerous "misfire" codes before but there was a code for those. We have an extended warranty at the dealer and they replaced the #6 plug and coil over a year ago. In warmer weather we also hear a rattling on acceleration up hills. I'm concerned about that noise given that these cars are famous for timing chain failure. But at 54K miles?
