Hello Scotty,

I admire your enthusiasm and dedication to helping people with their cars.

What is your professional opinion about Sta-Bil 360. Should I add the recommended amount every time I fill the gas tank. Is Sta-Bil 360 a good product?

Next question, I have an inline four 1.6L Tigershark 2016 Chrysler 200 Limited Platinum. The manufacturer claims this engine can go 10,000 miles on an oil change? I do not believe that. I go 2500 with Pennzoil Synthetic 0W-20 made from Natural Gas to preserve the cam belt. What is your opinion the duration of oil change miles and on Pennzoil Synthetic?

Sincerely,

Alex

You only need to add the stable if your vehicle is sitting for a long time that's stabilizes the gas from degrading. As for the Pennzoil synthetic I would change it every 6,000 MI

Golden Eagle claims using Sta-Bil 360 every time you fill your tank improves performance and cleans engine components. What is your preferred oil for this model vehicle?

If you fill up your car's gas tank about once a month, it'll probably help. If you fill up more often than that, it's most likely a waste of money. Seems like Sta-bil 360's ideal use is to treat a lawnmower's gas tank since the gas will probably sit in it for a while.

I use Sta-Bil (Red/Original) for my dirtbikes. Yamaha's in particular have a lot of issues starting smoothly. Not so much Honda's. I use the regular Sta-bil (RED) not 360 for the dirtbikes and they fire right away, plus ISO Heat, another Golden Eagle product. I believe the regular works for all gas engines, but the 360 is ethanol for cars / personal vehicles. My Kubota is a diesel. Fine piece of equipment! Gas engine lawnmowers are a joke when you have a large 1+ acre lawn.

From my experience mechanics always think they are experts, as if the mechanic engineered the engine and transmission. I do not take mechanics seriously who knock American vehicles. The United States manufactures vehicle way better than Japan and South Korea. There is a reason for the saying Jap crap. Plus, foreign cars have no style and are cheaper looking. I think Motor Trend and Toyota has Americans buying their foreign car lies. I'm old fashioned and it really gets me when i see traitors in foreign cars.
