1997 Ford f150 2wd 4.2 120000. New spark plugs ,wires. Bought computer scotty recommended from Amazon. No codes. Not consistent. Only stalls at idle and not all the time. Shakes first then cuts out. Push on gas and will keep running. All stock. We have had truck 9 years and only driven it 20000 miles. Very well maintained. Has been doing this only after mechanics in bois {black}:idontknow: e replaced all wires and plugs. All were original and had never been replaced. Engine light does come on but after the episode it goes off. Passed California pollution tests no problem after new battery. Drove it an hour first. CPU, Air flow censor?? Get 21 mpg on highway.
Auto transmission. Heatercore has been replaced. AC also has been repaired. It ran fine so I never changed plugs or wires. All this was done at 116000. Engine light never came on until 118500 miles. Then went off as described.????
Try cleaning your mass airflow sensor and your idle air control valve it sounds like it is a fuel problem so it could be a number of things.
Did you scan for any stored DTCs?
You can also try to change your fuel filter & pressure test your fuel pump.
Are the new wires & plugs good quality parts?
