2001 Chevy Silverado 1500. 5.3 engine. 167000 miles. Throwing no codes. Replaced fuel pump , fuel pressure regulator , fuel filter , idle air control sensor. Cleaned MAF and throttle body. Truck stall randomly at stops when fuel level is at half or less of tank of gas. Hasn’t happened with full tank of gas when it starts randomly stalling I can fill tank full and problem goes away till it get low again. Any advice
Wow. That's a poser. Just wondering if the gas cap is not venting and causing too much vacuum in the tank.
Had a crack in my air intake hose just past the map sensor that caused stalling at stops. And it never threw a code either.
I'd start by checking the fuel pressure at the injection line test port with engine running at idle. Should be in the 70-80 psi range at idle. If much lower than that, the issue is probably with the fuel pump in the tank.
This probably doesn't help, because your question is about 6 months old and you probably have it fixed already.
@retoldpro
Lol. The dates are inverted (5/11/2020 is actually 11/5/2020).
European method or something?
Hadn't considered that date condition, my apologies. However, the troubleshooting info stands.
