hey Scotty,
i recently purchased an 01 Chevy 2500 automatic. It runs and shifts great with 198,000 miles. However, about every 15 cranks it does not turn over. The guy I bought it from switched the relays and it would start. I haven’t had it long enough to get it scanned. I’ve had to do the switch the relay trick about 5 times. Any idea what it could be?

Well could just be a starter wearing out that happens all the time you could also check for loose electrical connections and check the wiring it's an old truck somebody might have rigged the whole thing and you might be better off just putting a starter switch on the dash to push a button to start it and wire it direct from the battery to the starter
