I have an '01 Grand Marquis that I replaced the passenger side sway bar link on and now my steering clanks when I turn full lock to the right and it's also pulling to the right. I did take it to a shop for an alignment check and they said all four wheels are aligned manufacture specs.
I would inspect the ball joints upper and lower along with the outer tie rod ball joint attached to the knuckle you might of missed something maybe, but if I were you I would replace the driver side sway bar link too if ones bad the other is soon to follow, perhaps you only lifted one side of the car to replace the sway bar link well if you did that the sway bar link will just pop right off because the car wasn’t lifted on both sides, I had it happen to me on my crown Vic
Go to another shop. They do not know what they are talking about.
I would take it apart and examine it......
