Hi, appreciate the help here.
My Acura MDX 2012 with close to 170k miles started making a metal clunking sound when I turn the steering wheel. [Listen to video in the link]
What is the probable cause and what can be done?

that's a groan , not a clunk. Anyway there are many causes, since many parts move when you turn the wheels. It needs to be jacked up and inspected. I'm willing to put a bet on worn ball joints though.
@imperator if it is the worn ball joints, what components do I need to replace? Is there any fix that I can do as is without replacing to at least help somewhat?

No. replacement will most likely be needed. And I would stop driving it. I've seen way too many ball joints pop out mid-flight. You're endangering everybody.

well, ball joints. But it's easier to replace the entire control arm. But you are getting too ahead of yourself. You need to be 100% sure what the problem is. 1st step is diagnosis.
