Stepdad gone crazy! Help me!

Topic starter

My stepdad inherited a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab long bed 2wd a few years ago, and now he wants to trade it in for a 2016 Chevy 2500 with a lift. I keep telling to not do it because he will lose the shirt off his back and he won't come to reality. He got the Ram free and the dealer wants $57,000! Please help me!

Not sure how you want us to snap him out of it. If he is intent on making a purchase, he's a grown man. Let him.

If it works out great. If not, he will have no one to blame but himself and any money lost is his. {black}:idontknow:

Yeah you know what I'm sure that he will learn if he does it. He's wrecked alot of car and regretted it. He was always a speedster.

what would you like us to do?

Find a way to snap him out of it. He complains about diesel prices yet the Chevy is a diesel.

no thanks

The 3/4 ton Chevy is about 100 times better than the 1/2 ton Ram.

If it was like a 90s Chevy 3/4 ton I would say sure and I would take the Ram. I blew the engine in my 94.

Unfortunately, you gonna have to accept the fact that's his call to buy this vehicle. But actually, the Chevy 2500s are decent heavy trucks as well as the 3500s. Chevy's overall quality has gone down.

What’s the specs on the RAM? Engine? Diesel? Cylinders? Transmission?

Also, is the a second gen or third gen?
