Hello, I just found your helpful video on google about using Lysol to get rid of the bad smell in cars via air intake. I haven’t tried this method yet and plan on it.
So the problem I’m having is that my 2009 Acura MDX smells bad like Mildew/must. The front AC doesn’t work but the rear does. I’ve cleaned the car out with ozeum, carpet cleaned during the day so it dries, and now I’m currently using the baking soda method to help.
I’ve mentioned to my boyfriend who replaced the blender door motors (each side) to see if that helps and it still didn’t. My next thought is the evaporator coils blocked.
I’ve been told no since the rear works.
But I still have a god awful smell happening. I’m 24 weeks pregnant and the smell is becoming an issue.
Please shed some light to me as what I could do next.
I resolved smells in my Auris by cleaning engine air filter.
What does and engine filter have to do with smells in the cabin?
I have no idea but it worked.
Coincidence
Hello!
When was the cabin filter replaced?
Another possibility could be clogged AC drain line.
