I never changed them I just wanted to see the the number on the bulb And I put them right back and as soon as I put them back on that was the message that I was receiving stop like malfunction
Try scanning for codes, first. If you find any, erase them all & check if any come back. If any come back post them here. Just so that we understand correctly, you pulled out the regular factory bulb, put in the led bulb, then pulled out the led bulb & now you’re back to the factory bulbs, correct?
I never bought the LED bulbs I removed the factory bulbs and put them right back in just to get the number on the bulb
Gotcha. I’ll edit the title.
I would like to put the LED bulbs inside but before I do I would like to fix the issue that I’m having and pretty much all the lights work but it just giving me the message saying that stop light malfunction and I don’t know what that is
I went on YouTube to figure out how to remove the bulbs because this is my first time doing it it’s not so difficult to remove them but I don’t know what happened ever since I removed it that’s what message I have been getting I didn’t replace any bulbs with LEDs I removed the factory original bulbs and put them right back in just to get the number just so I can see if they sell LED bulbs online
You may have to just erase all codes using a fancy scan tool first, since it seemed to have got triggered when you pulled out the bulb. The system may have thought that bulb had gone out. Also see here - https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/stop-light-malfunction-error.236810/
To clear the messages, if you don't have OBDII scanner, disconnect the negative cable of the battery, wait for 30 min, and then put it back.
I thought the OBD machine is only used to remove engine codes transmission codes ABS codes oh what a lightbulb message I never thought we can use a computer to remove the code
If they show a code on dash, it means it is computer controlled. It is not like old days anymore.
