- After I drive for a while I get this weird rubbing sound when I'm stopped, it does it in both drive and neutral. Please help I would like to know what it is.

I was thinking it might be the water pump because I am leaking some coolant but I'm not sure.
Put a steel bar on the water pump and listen to it for a bad bearing. Is the weep hole at the bottom of the pump wet?
I can't see the weep hope but I am leaking coolant from the front of the engine, when I look down from the top the little splash shield underneath the pulleys always has a wet spot. I also 87k miles.
You can't hear or see anything from inside the cabin.
Try going underneath the hood.
You need to turn your volume up all the way to really hear it. I was stopped at a red light and I figured I'd get it on video. It doesn't always do it just after alot of stop and go driving for a few hours.
I had it up all the way. But even if I could hear it, the sound isn't coming from inside the cabin. You will never find the cause from the driver's seat. You need to physically get closer to it.
yup it's loudest right by the water pump isn't it.
The pump is probably worn out.
Update, it still makes the sound after replacing the pump and it only makes it when the fan is on for the heat.
great. Fans are inexpensive.
+1 for a water pump
