2004 Toyota Corolla 180000 miles Automatic. I'm replacing the entire CV axel due to the inner boot ripping and being bad. Have removed the outer axel from the wheel. However the inner one doesn't want to come out of the transmission

Get a bigger pry bar and while you're at it why not replace the axle seal too?
