Use a mechanic's stethoscope to locate the source of the noise.

Update. The problem was a exhaust leak coming from underneath. When gaskets were replaces a small leak was discovered in the actual pipe.

New pipe cost almost 1 k 

Hello, 

I have a 2020 subaru ascent 2.4 l turbo suv 105 000 miles. When it's cold and on idle a tickling noise come from the passenger side. When it warms up noise deacreases significantly. When accelerating from stop it's noticeable but when going 25 miles per hour and accelerate, there is no noise. Somebody sugested exhaust leak but my thought are something going on with the valves or lifters
