Hi I'm 17 looking to buy a subaru brz I want a 6 speed manual the one I'm looking at right not has 92k miles the guy wants 13k the car seems fine front bumper was replaced I love these cars and want one but don't know what to look out for please let me know what to look for and avoid thanks

Manual BRZs are pretty good cars. A few things to watch out for:
- if the clutch hasn’t been replaced, it will need to be soon ($$$)
- if the spark plugs haven’t been replaced, they also will need to be soon ($$ or tedious DIY)
- as a sports car, it may have been abused
- as a cheap sports car, it may have had deferred maintenance
Dont trust what the seller tells you. Assume it has a major defect until proven otherwise. Budget $200 for a pre-purchase inspection; a good inspection will either find problems that will give you more bargaining power, or peace of mind if there are no problems.

PS: unlike other Subarus, it’s RWD not AWD. Keep good tires on it or it will get squirrely in the rain.
