Subaru clutch pedal stuck to floor

I'm working on a 2012 subaru impreza sport premium edition 2.0 l manual transmission. The clutch was replaced about a year ago. Recently it had been grinding a little when putting it into reverse and it popped out of first one day. Then one day it was parked and when the person went to leave the peddle stuck to the floor. It will shift thru the gears when the car is off, but won't when the car is on. I'm wondering if this is a bad slave cylinder, a bad master cylinder or throw out bearing. I havent worked on a car w a manual tyranny in many years so I'm not totally sure what to look for. Any help would be appreciated

It could be either cylinder. Best bet is add fluid and bleed them. See if you can lift the pedal manually and pump it back and forth. With new fluid it should start to stay up on it’s own. If it doesn’t them a cylinder or the throwout bearing is bad.
