My auntie has a 2015 Subaru Forestor. I don't know the mileage. Is it typical that the Subaru axles can be broken? I heard that one of the axles is broken. I never heard of it before. I only heard that the Subarus have a tendency of wearing the engines and transmissions out.

If by breaking you mean the axle boot tears and leaks the grease out. Then yes, Subaru axle boots are know to tear. I’ve replaced a good amount of Subaru axles.
I think that's the problem not the axle itself.

To my knowledge that is definitely not something that commonly happens with any Subaru model.
