I wanted to get your opinion on buying a 2009, Subaru Impreza with a 5 speed transmission and 150k miles on it. I would be buying it from a private owner, who reports that the car has bad head gasket as the issue with the vehicle.

Well don't buy it if it still has a bad head gasket cuz you don't know if it's a gasket or the head or the block that has damaged never by a car with the damaged engine. But if he has proof that head gasket was replaced by a professional mechanic not too long ago it could be a decent buy if they use the new modern head gasket material that works better
