Subaru Outback low beam bulbs burn out every 3 weeks

I have a 2010 Subaru Outback and it burns out low beam bulbs on both sides within weeks of installation (not at the same time). I'm careful not to touch the bulbs with bare fingers and I had the alternator checked for spikes.  I should mention that the left low beam light is a little dimmer than the right which could indicate a bad ground but I haven't located that yet. Could it also be a relay?

thanks,

John

Is moisture getting in the housing/ on the contacts? Recently had this happen to my camaro.

You would want to measure the voltage across each lamp and compare to the voltage at the battery with the engine running. I would load test the battery if you haven't all ready. There is some normal drop in the wiring but it should not be more than a volt. Trace it back from there. And of coarse make sure your getting the right bulb from a reputable brand like sylvania. I am finding those no-names Chinese ones on Amazon are garbage. You can get sylvania brand  at Walmart.

There is a cap behind the bulb housing but it seems to have a good seal.
