Sudden acceleration 2019 Rouge

Scotty My wife has a 2019 Nissan Rouge. She was pulling into a Handicap parking space , When the car suddenly accelerated jumping over curve across a 6 ft nature area crashing into the rear of a 2017 Ford F150. Let just say the Ford rear bed and bumper looks like she hit at least 35 miles per hour+ What would cause a car to accelerate to that speed with her food firmly on the brake? Transmission ? Maybe Computer? The tow truck driver moved the car and stated the car felt like it was pulling forward fast and the same in reverse!! What should she do to find out what maybe the problem?

Thanks Coachcal2013

The brakes would have to fail.  If I firmly plant my foot on the brake, no amount of throttle will make the car move.
